CARE BY ME helps communities in Nepal and India to a better life, so when they were asked if they would support a social project in a small village close to their partner in India, they had to say yes. As soon as they saw the products, they decided to expand their support by not just donating organic cotton for their local weaving project, but they decided to do their own designs and include this amazing product into their full year collection. This way they do not only support the village by giving them some free cotton one time – they actually try to make a long term support that will hopefully last for years. We love the idea of combining two natural materials making these wonderful products. Local banana leaves harvested by hand and GOTS certified organic cotton – woven by hand into these amazing Balance mats. Each mat is woven on a handloom by a local weaver. We are amazed to see what hands can do and we truly cherish their craftsmanship and valued commitment.
