We’ve actually got several of these in different styles from different brands, and they’re all great in general – it’s just the specific configuration/features that work better for you that you should be looking for. That’s hard to know before you’ve actually used it, but you can think about how you’re going to use this, what you’ll be doing, etc., and choose accordingly. They come in corner and straight configurations, so if you have a deep L-shaped desk you can actually use MORE of your desk space by using that awkward L for something other than empty square footage or knickknacks.My spouse likes this one because of the slot for second and third device (phone and tablet). It’s not my preference because I frequently use books and/or evaluate objects (like small merch for this platform), so I prefer one with 3 levels – monitor at top, keyboard on bottom, and a work/book/junk collecting (if I’m honest) surface in the middle. What you almost certainly want is a keyboard surface that comes outward a bit like this one does, so you don’t have to have your monitor up your nose to be able to reach it (if you’ve got long arms, ignore that part – fellow T-rexes know what I mean). I actually have a motorized standing desk and like having one of these on top of it (as long as it goes low enough, again for the short folks to have feet touching the ground) because the motor desks tend to be flat topped, no features, or oddly configured (at least to my eye). If you’re v v tall and/or tall and use, say, a taller walking pad, adding this to a standing desk may get you the height that you need if you’re not able to get it elsewhere. If you’re using a regular desk and want to keep it (or have no choice because you work in an office with the furniture already picked out), this is easy and portable enough to take with you to your next job, so you don’t have to give your company free stuff.This is solid and as well built as any of the others, so again, no issues, and shop for the features you specifically need. I wouldn’t get one that’s a uni-tasker, meaning JUST standing, because I find it’s best for me to alternate and sort of keep it moving. Do also note that if you’re on a hard surface, you’ll want something nicer to stand on, so go ahead and get that now. Sitting in a desk chair won’t bother you on, say, concrete, but standing on it for extended periods might.
