READY TO SHIP Soda Fired Porcelain Random Lines Tumbler One of a kind. There can NEVER be another one exactly like this one as the look of this bowl is created by flame and soda moving through the kiln. This tumbler was fired in a gas fired soda kiln to over Cone 10. Soda firing is an atmospheric firing technique where “soda” is introduced into the kiln near peak temperature, usually 2350° Cone 10. The "soda" used was sodium bi-carbonate, also know as baking soda, The soda, once introduced to the heat of the kiln, will vaporize and bond with the surfaces of the pots altering the glazes to create unique one of a kind pieces of pottery. Wheel thrown 14 oz mug by Scott Reed, and glazed by Angi Pogue-Reed. Hand painted in a combination of blue and green gloss glazes. Food/Dishwasher/Microwave Safe All our pottery is either wheel thrown or hand built and decorated by the two of us in our Jupiter Florida pottery studio. No outsourcing is done, period.
